Last month, I gave you our review of the Teddy Bears Picnic at Wooly Wards Farm. Today, I am delighted to bring you another review of the wonderful Fairytale Summer Finale at Wooly Wards which we went to last Saturday. As you know, we were on a weeks holidays from work and spent the days revelling in a staycation with happy family days out. The Fairytale Finale was the perfect way to end our holidays and A lived the day as a Princess. If you haven’t visited Wooly Ward’s Farm yet, then why not? It really is a magical place with wonderful staff and fun things to do.
Our week off work has finished and we are wearily and sadly bundled into the car heading to work this morning. Last week was probably the best family holiday we’ve ever had. And to top it all, we were pretty frugal about it. It was once again a staycation since buying a new home last year has zapped all of our finances. In one week, we managed to fit in everything A loves to do. It was a short seven days which when you’re stuck behind a desk at work can seem like a lifetime. For us, this week has flown and boy are we exhausted!
We are finally on another weeks holidays! Thank Pete for annual leave. Working full time really makes B and I appreciate the days we have off with A. We’ve been planning this week since the beginning of July and coming up with ideas and fun things to do each day. Yes, it is another Staycation. And why not? There are so many fantastic things for us to do. Money is a smidge on the tight side as we are getting some essential maintenance and upgrades done on our house. Never fear! We have come up with some really fun and cheap days out for next week. We are blessed with so many things to do! Here are our top five free Fun Days Out in North County Dublin and some ideas if you have a bit of pocket money handy.
I really have to start this post off by saying, “What a day! Absolutely amazing!” Myself, my mum, A and her little cousin, F, made our way to Wooly Ward’s Farm in Oldtown, Co. Dublin, on Saturday to meet Goldilocks and Daddy Bear at the Teddy Bear’s Picnic. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from the day and we’ve never been to Wooly Ward’s Farm before so it was a brand new experience for all of us. To say that the day was a huge success is an understatement! Read on to check out our review of the Teddy Bears Picnic…
One of our favourite things to do, at pretty much any time of the day, is dance in the kitchen. A is a total fiend for dancing and singing. It’s less about coordination and more about the wiggle and stomping of feet but it’s fun and we laugh non stop as the music takes us through a wave of guilty pleasure. We have a go to list of toddler songs that we all love dancing too.
