Baby’s First Year – Overcoming Anxiety

Baby’s First Year – Overcoming Anxiety

I’ve had some incredibly mixed emotions lately. Little Bean is almost one and I can’t help but think back over the year it’s been. It’s been good but it’s also been bad. And those bad days are standing out more. But I am ending today focusing on Little Bean and her big sister because while the year has been a challenge, guess what, we got through it.

Becoming A Mum Of Two

Becoming A Mum Of Two

I’ve heard them say that going from zero babies to one baby is harder than going from one to two. I can understand why. Having at least one child has given you a massive amount of experience into this world of parenting. Whether you think you’re a good parent or not, whether you struggle every day with the long and arduous routine or have everything neatly organised and arranged for the week ahead, parenting is all still a mystery with learning curves every day. But adding a second child to the mix, apparently isn’t as hard as learning everything from scratch first time round. So why do I feel so damn nervous about becoming a Mum of two?

In Conversation With: Blondie Mommy’s Stories

However, I am delighted to bring Oana to your attention, who is a beautiful Mum both inside and out, and a great parent blogger also over at Blondie Mommy’s Stories. In Conversation With: Fab Working Mom Life

This week on In Conversation With, I had the pleasure of speaking with the beautiful Julie from Fab Working Mom Life. Julie is a working Mom, a blogger and a mother of one. But some how we manage it, and sometimes we need help. Julie’s blog is fantastic and I feel like I can relate to a lot that she says. Keeping our identity in parenthood is so important. 9 Chores a Toddler Can Do … but probably won’t

9 Chores a Toddler Can Do … but probably won’t

I quite like the idea of encouraging A to start helping around the house and completing, or rather, attempting, a few chores. She’s hitting three in October and we can clearly see how much more mature and responsible she has gotten in the last year. She is well capable of understanding and completing a task asked of her but let’s face it, a toddler has to want to cooperate if any of that task is to be completed in some shape or form. Here are nine chores we’ve asked A to do with obvious mixed results. Remember, that toddler chores will always be hit and miss. But hey, who ever said the path to teaching a toddler ran smooth? This is my tongue-in-cheek guide to toddler chores and, more importantly, parental coping mechanisms.

The Daddy Tag Challenge

The Daddy Tag Challenge

Ahhh the Daddy Tag Challenge! I’ve yet to be nominated for the Mummy Tag Challenge – I’m clearly clamboring for a nomination here! – so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and nominate Papa Bear for #TheDaddyTag! A clever challenge issued by the very wonderful Frenchie Mummy. I was tempted to do as Frenchie said and make the answers up for B but he was very happy to oblige and take part. Check out his answers to the Daddy Tag Challenge. Of course I couldn’t help but add my own little tid-bit too!

I really have to start this post off by saying, “What a day! Absolutely amazing!” Myself, my mum, A and her little cousin, F, made our way to Wooly Ward’s Farm in Oldtown, Co.
