Since A was three months old, we’ve read to her. We’ve always been a family of book lovers and when we moved house in 2015, we had more books in boxes than kitchen supplies. A is no different and she hasbooks to choose from every night to read before bed. And every single night, we read at least five books without fail. It’s a tradition I never see us stopping, even when Little Bean comes along who I’m sure will get in on the act quick enough. In fact, she already has a little library of books started of her own. Personally, I believe that reading books from a young age is so important for so many reasons.
As you know, A has always loved reading. Herself and B without fail read about five or six books a night, sometimes more depending on how tired she is or whether We Bare Bears has come on the TV in the background! It wouldn’t be right not to share with you our top five Christmas books which, I’ll be honest, are not hidden away until December but rather have been read at any time of year.
A Little Night Time Reading – 5 Toddler Books. Admittedly, I am not the right person to talk about this since B is the one who reads books with A (and I’m the librarian – go figure!) but B has been busy talking to Claire at The Pramshed for her blog series on The Partners Experience so I’m collating these five favorite toddler books myself… I’m sure I’ll have an updated version from B very shortly.
